HCA Florida West celebrates completion of new parking deck

HCA Florida West Hospital and general contractor Brasfield & Gorrie recently celebrated the addition of new, improved patient parking at the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Pensacola hospital’s new parking deck. This six-story, 237,000 sq ft precast parking garage features 667 parking spaces, two stairwells, an elevator bank with two elevators, and an enclosed lobby.

The ceremony marks more than the completion of the garage, though. It also sets the stage to introduce upcoming renovations within the hospital, which Brasfield & Gorrie will also complete. Work on an expanded emergency department waiting room, new operating room, improved women’s health services, surgery renovations and more is set to break ground in the first quarter of this year. The project is scheduled to complete in the second quarter of 2027.

“We’re thrilled to complete this enabling project, reflecting the seamless collaboration and hard work of our team alongside HCA Healthcare and our design partners, who we’ve been privileged to work with on numerous projects over the last 20 years,” said Brig Eastman, a division manager at Brasfield & Gorrie. “As we celebrate this milestone, we’re equally excited to embark on the next phase of enhancing the hospital’s facilities to better serve the community.”
