Alton Lennon Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse
Complete renovation of historic three-story, 60,031 sq ft Alton Lennon Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse, which was originally built in 1919. Hurricane Florence caused significant exterior and interior damage to the building in 2018. The interior environmental concerns caused the tenants to relocate. The project scope includes rehabilitation of the existing building envelope, repair and replacement of the MEP systems, and remediation and restoration of the building’s interiors. The building houses the U.S. District Courts, probation and pretrial, U.S Marshals Service, the Clerk of the Courts, Drug Enforcement Administration, U.S. Attorney’s Office, Department of Labor, and Public Defender’s Offices.
