This 28-story, 577,898 sq ft residential tower features 350 units, an underground parking structure, two ground-floor retail spaces, and ample resident amenity spaces. This eye-catching, stair-stepped structure is a unique addition to the Midtown Atlanta skyline.
A self-perform success
Because the structure is one of the first components of the building, its construction sets the pace for the remainder of the project. If it’s behind schedule, the entire project is behind schedule, and if the quality is lacking, it’ll affect the quality of the finished product. As the general contractor, we have a top-down view of the project and an inherent motivation to get our scope of work done early and right.
Self-performing the concrete structure on 1441 Peachtree allowed us to choose the best formwork systems for the job and manage the manpower for these scopes to benefit the project’s overall timeline and budget. Another major plus of our self-perform was our ability to pull in other employees who were already on site to improve efficiency. This availability—and the speed it brought to the project—wouldn’t be available to a trade contractor.
