Multi-Tenant Data Center Opens in Auburn, Alabama

Construction is complete on AUBix’s leading-edge data center in Auburn, Alabama, increasing the technology infrastructure in this part of the state. Brasfield & Gorrie was the project’s general contractor. “Brasfield & Gorrie completed the construction of the AUBix data center on time and in budget, delivering the high-quality facility required to house a data center able to withstand Category 4 winds,” said CEO and Co-Founder Andrew Albrecht. “From providing input on the initial design through the final finishing details, the Brasfield & Gorrie team was helpful, professional and a true pleasure to work with.” The one-story, 40,000 sq ft greenfield data center is located on a six-acre site. The facility includes two 10,000 sq ft data halls, which will support up to 2 megawatts of IT load each. The building’s structure and veneer are precast concrete. The general contractor has completed more than $2.8 billion of mission-critical projects, accounting for 8 million sq ft of work. “Brasfield & Gorrie is dedicated to building strong communities everywhere we work.
