Brasfield & Gorrie Announces Completion of 77 12th Street
October 1, 2013
Brasfield & Gorrie today announced the completion of 77 12th Street, a high-end residential apartment complex in Midtown Atlanta. The $57 million construction project is comprised of a 615,000 sq ft, 23-story apartment tower with 330 residential units, and 23,000 sq ft of retail space.
According to Brasfield & Gorrie Division Manager Rob Blalock, the luxury apartments add an exciting new dimension to Midtown, which is one of Atlanta’s prominent business districts. “Along with its cultural attractions, iconic buildings, and higher education institutions, the new retail options make this area an even more desirable residential community,” said Blalock.
The new apartments feature granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, floor-to-ceiling windows, and balconies that offer stunning views of the city. The building’s 20,000 sq ft above ground outdoor plaza features a saltwater pool, bocce ball courts, a private terrace and several fireplaces. Rental rates for apartments in 77 12th Street are among the highest in the city; however, more than 80 percent of the units have been reserved and almost all of the available retail space has been leased.
77 12th Street is part of the marquee 12th & Midtown development initiative, and it is Brasfield & Gorrie’s most recent work in Midtown with developers Daniel Corporation and Selig Enterprises. The construction company also completed 1075 Peachtree in 2010 and 1010 Midtown in 2008. Since 2006 Brasfield & Gorrie has worked on more than $1 billion in construction developments with Daniel Corporation and Selig Enterprises.
The total development cost for 77 12th Street was $88.7 million; Northwestern Mutual was the project lender.
