Healthcare tower tops out in Winston-Salem, North Carolina

March 25, 2024

Construction site in Winston-Salem with a multi-story Healthcare Tower under development and cranes.

Our team recently celebrated the topping out of the Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center Care Tower in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. We’ve partnered with Blum Construction to complete the 350,000 sq ft structure. The new tower will house a new emergency department, a sterile processing department, 28 operating rooms, 33 ICU rooms, and support services.

Topping out is a special milestone because it’s a celebration of the hard work of our construction crews. Those crews are people whose hard hats represent not only Brasfield & Gorrie and Blum Construction Co., but also the hundreds of local construction teammates who work for the many trade contractors necessary to bring this project to life. We’re grateful for the team’s dedication and for the opportunity to be part of the local community.
