Wallace Dam Forebay Oxygenation System

When the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission issued new standards for hydroelectric generation, Brasfield & Gorrie was chosen to construct a new forebay oxygenation system at Wallace Dam. This project enhanced the dissolved oxygen levels in Lake Oconee, which serves as a reservoir for the Wallace Hydroelectric Plant, thereby facilitating the management of peaking hydro turbine flows. Our project team self-performed a great deal of the site work, concrete paving, and concrete foundations.
