North Carolina Hydropower Station Spillway Modification

The hydroelectric power station at Blewett Falls Lake needed significant upgrades, including modifications to the spillway crest, an addition of post-tensioned rock anchors, and replacement of spillway flashboards with pneumatically operated gates. Because this project took place in and around the Pee Dee River, most of the work was performed via barges. Our team also launched a water bottle recycling program at this project during COVID-19 to promote sustainability on a daily basis.
