Concrete Spillway Modification and Obermeyer Gate Installation

Originally the site of a 19th-century textile mill, Thurlow Dam has needed plenty of upgrades over the years to maintain its utility. Our team replaced the existing flashboard spillway with a new Obermeyer gate system after removing the existing flashboards, demolishing the existing piers, and modifying the crest for the installation. Over the course of four phases, we added additional new features like a compressor/control building behind the headworks and a 40-foot-wide trash gate section with an adjacent 340-foot-wide spillway section.
