Brasfield & Gorrie recently completed construction on Prologis Riverwest III, a 1.1 million sq ft cross-dock distribution center with a 40 ft clear height on an 87.5-acre site in Lithia Springs. The facility includes speculative office space and 211 loading dock door locations. There are 279 trailer parking spaces and 449 other auto parking spaces on site.

The project used tilt-up construction, which involved the building’s walls being poured in large slabs of concrete on the jobsite. These panels were then tilted into position around the building’s perimeter. This construction method benefits both cost and schedule.

Consumers rely on distribution center to work efficiently and deliver products—whether to stores or directly to an individual home—on time. It’s essential that the sites work well, and Brasfield & Gorrie is honored to have partnered with Prologis on this important project.

Brasfield & Gorrie has completed more than 450 projects in the industrial market sector, accounting for a total of $3 billion in revenue. Previous and ongoing projects for Prologis include Prologis Buford in Georgia, which was also a tilt-up project, and Prologis Shopton Ridge East Phase I in Charlotte, North Carolina. Brasfield & Gorrie will also complete tenant improvements for Prologis Riverwest III, which are scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2023.

Ware Malcomb was the architect for Prologis Riverwest III and will also work on the tenant improvements. Prologis Riverwest III is pursuing LEED Silver certification.
