Brasfield & Gorrie Completes Bellingrath Middle School
Montgomery, AL---Brasfield & Gorrie, LLC recently celebrated the grand opening of Bellingrath Middle School in Montgomery, Ala., just in time for the new school year.
The 142,000-sq-ft school includes two, two-story classroom and media center wings, an administrative wing, a cafeteria, a band room addition and a gymnasium wing. All sections of the school are encompassed around a central courtyard. The new school replaces the older facility and is located one block away from the former campus. Bellingrath Middle School can now accommodate up to 800 students.
The company began construction in January 2009 and completed the $21.5-million facility in June 2010.
Brasfield & Gorrie was proud to partner with the architect Bush-Holland and the Montgomery Board of Education on this project. In addition, the company was fortunate to work with TCU Consulting Services, LLC to better develop the facility.
