Brasfield & Gorrie Through The Years

History

Established in 1921 as the Thomas C. Brasfield Company, the Brasfield & Gorrie we know today was formed in 1964, when founder Miller Gorrie purchased Brasfield's construction assets. Since then, B&G has grown steadily, opening full-service Atlanta and Orlando offices in 1985, and then adding Raleigh and Nashville in 1998. And in 2007, Brasfield & Gorrie added an office in Jacksonville, Florida.

Today our company includes 28 divisions that focus on specific, specialized construction markets. We are one of the largest privately held contracting firms in the nation. We were ranked 29th among the nation's "Top 400 Contractors" in 2009 by Engineering New-Record. In addition, Modern Healthcare magazine has ranked our company within the Top 3 Healthcare General Contractors the past 10 years. But for all of our growth and success, our future is firmly rooted in the vision and ideals of our founders—five men and women whose values we honor in the way we interface with clients, our own employees, and in every project we do.
